Robinson out of the way, unlocks the door, rushes down stairs to the kitchen and sits one hight stool over where Mrs. Robinson was sitting before. As Mr. Robinson walks in, he shows enjoyment that Ben is at the house as they both discuss how long he has known Ben and his family. Mr. Robison then gives Ben advice on easing things up at his age and have fun in his life. Mrs. Robinson then returns back from the room and sits across from the two. Mr. Robinson tells her about the advice that he gave to Ben, as he and Ben head out to the door. The camera then focuses on Mrs. Robinson face as she hears that Ben doesn’t think he’s a ladies man, leaving her face to be somewhat curious. A great method for the director to show that Mrs. Robinson only cares about Ben’s dating life. However, when Mr. Robinson tells Ben to take out Elaine when she comes back from Berkeley, she doesn’t seem too satisfied. As Ben leaves their house, he doesn’t look back at all as he hears Mrs. Robinson at the door thanking him for taking her back to the house. The next scene arrives with Ben’s father announcing to a few groups of people in their backyard about Ben turning 21 and his attraction that he bought Ben, a scuba diving outfit.
