During the time at the farm house Mr. Hale tells the story of what happens the previous day. Both stories tell us that Mr. Hale was the first to talk to Mrs. Wright after the incident. When Mr. Hale is asked about how Mrs. Wright looked, he says “she looked queer”. The investigation was conducted the same in both stories. Both stories Take place in 1916 in a farming community of Davenport, Iowa. Both stories start after the Murder of Mr. Wright not showing what happened in the house before the murder but leaving to the imagination making it more a murder mystery than a story of murder. “Trifles” leaves the thought and feelings up to the actors while “Jury of her peers tells how the group of characters are connected. It tells that Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters met “the year before at the county fair” (Jury of Her Peers). It is not until one sees the movie “Trifles” that one truly sees the story as it truly was meant to be told. In the beginning, of the movie the truth as to what happened in Mrs. Wrights home comes to light. It shows Mrs. Wright trying to make her beautiful bird settle down because Mr. Wright did not like noise. Then Mr. Wright comes in and wrings the birds neck killing the last pleasure in the life that Mrs. Wright has (Trifles). The movie shows even more detail then the play or short
