Ms. Trinidad also mentioned a story that made her feel better about herself for being able to achieve something great. During her graduate courses, she took a class that required her to write about some research on the Nile River. She had to find out things like where it was located, how long it is, and what people use it for. This was an essay that she struggled with because it was on something that she knew nothing about. It took time and dedication considering the fact that they did not have any computers, to either obtain research from, or to simply type out her findings. This meant that she had to spend time in their local library to look through multiple books in order to get the information that she needed. After turning in her assignment her professor fell in love with her research and asked if she could publish it. Excitedly, Ms. Trinidad said yes. One year later, due to her good research, her professor came up to her with a five-thousand-dollar check. Ms. Trinidad had no idea that her work would ever bring her money. This was something great for Ms. Trinidad because it helped her throughout her college years to pay for her courses and books. Ms. Trinidad was not only grateful for the money she received, but she was more proud of her writing improvements. She went from getting low grades to getting her work published, and she felt the journey of becoming a great writer was well worth it. She compared her writing journey to life. She explained that as her writing journey began rough and bad she never gave up and worked hard to improve as much as she can. She said in life, there will be times that things may start off bad but if you continue to work for success, success will come. She wanted to share that, just as her writing journey, no matter how many times you may get knocked down in life,
