A humorous twist on the 39 steps, directed by Jon Halpin, and performed in the Adelaide Festival theatre, the mystery ridden, or rather, the comical adventure of an innocent man, was adapted by playwright, Patrick Barlow. Executed by a talented cast of four – Charles Mayer, Tim Overton, Nathan Page, and Anna Steen, shared among them a number of characters, dominating the stage with their lightning fast costume changes, adding to the thrill of the play. Lighting, staging, props, costuming, and set design were key aspects which enabled the stunning yet simple play to run smoothly.
