Today had been long. It was one of those days that Cassie wanted to end with a bear hug from her dad. Her dad was always the person to brighten her day. When she was little, he would feed her popsicles for tender bitten tongues and coax straws filled with bubbles of ginger ale past pale nauseous little lips.
