Have you ever looked up at the stars in the night sky and thought of the stars that were light years away or how that we are just a few feet tall humans on a pale blue dot in the 100000 light-years wide galaxy.With the recent discoveries of the new 7 potential habitable Exoplanets of the TRAPPIST system we ask the human race, how do we get there? That for every distant star it takes at least 81,000 years to get to them with our current technology. But is it possible to get faster by using the laws of relativity to bend space-time to our will or to make the journey to many possible planets that can support live like they do in science fiction stories like Star Wars or Star Trek? One of these questioning ideas is called the Twin Paradox. Suppose you and your twin are on our beloved third planet in the solar system. Then your twin decides to go on a rocket to take a round trip to Alpha Centauri at half of the speed of light. Alpha Centauri is approximately 4.37 Light Years away. ( A light-year is the distance light travels in a year) it should take 8.74 years to get there another 8.74 years to get back from your perspective of your twin taking the trip. From your twins perspective, it should take less than 8 years to and fro Alpha Centauri because the slowing of your twins body clock caused by time dilation.
