Be not afraid to take Mary as your wife because the child she is carrying is the Son of God.’ Joseph immediately got up out of bed and he thought of the dream. He decided to marry Mary. When the shepherds heard these words they believed them and they traveled until they saw the stable. The stable animals gave God thanks that Jesus Christ came into the world. They bowed their heads in adoration. The cow, goats, sheep, and a donkey gave God thanks. Meanwhile, three wise kings saw a star in a very far East African country and they knew that something great happened. They knew the Messiah was in the world. They were filled with joy and they immediately planned a trip to visit the Messiah. They brought gold, myrrh, and frankincense, along with other precious materials with them. They also brought servants with many camels. They left their kingdoms with the princes in charge. The journey took many nights and days. Through jungles, deserts, and by sea to come to Bethlehem. When they saw the bright, beautiful star, they rejoiced with the greatest joy. They came and saw Jesus with Mary his mother and they brought expensive gifts to him. The first king presented gold, the second frankincense, and the third myrrh. Servants also sang to Jesus and worshiped him. Everyone was happy and gave praises to God. The Savior came into the world and he would be the great light that gives light to everyone

Sitting at my desk, I stared down at my schoolwork while my mind remained static. Suddenly, I found myself beginning to radiate golden light as my body faded from existence; then before I knew it, I rematerialized out of thin air. This does not happen often, so I was rather confused as I stood atop a cloud, high up in the sky. That is, until I noticed a large, human-like figure appear before me in a holy light. He raised his hands and smiled down at me before bellowing out, “Behold, for it is I; Gabe Newell!”…

Biblical passages often have many contradictions, missing parts, and writing styles that can suggest that there are different authors. From the story of Joseph, there appears to be only one author as many of the above are absent or miniscule. There are minor instances where the story is slightly disconnected, but it does not give reason to believe that there were two different authors. In support of this claim, the story itself is quite small and it only takes place in the book of Genesis. In a nutshell, the story seems to be have a predetermined plot where Joseph had a vision, was scrutinized for it, and with God’s help his vision was achieved.…

“The announcement of the birth of this newborn king of the Jews greatly troubles not only King Herod but all Jerusalem” (Matthew 2:1-3), yet the Gentile Maji are overjoyed to find him and offer him their homage and gifts (Matthew 2:10-11). This explains how the ultimate rejection Jesus faces from his own people but gains acceptance from the Gentile nations. Jesus must escape the murderous plans of Herod and escape to Egypt where he will relive the Exodus experience in Israel. The angel of the lord appeared in Josephs dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt and stay there until I tell you (Matthew 2:13). Biblical traditions regarding Moses are applied to young Jesus.…

I agree with what their interpretation of Mathew 5:13-16 by saying that Jesus told the people to be a “visible city on a hill and light for all nations (154).” The beatitudes and being the light of the world are closely related. Showing the light of God could be as easy as comforting those who are mourning. Matthew writes in 5:16, “ Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly…

English is a topic that many children around the world study. Within an English class, you can learn any number of things ranging from essay formatting to poetry analyzing. This year in English, I have learned about three very important things; debate, essays, and the Hero’s Journey. Debate is defined as a formal contest in which the affirmative and negative sides of a proposition are advocated by opposing speakers, meaning that it takes place in a very professional setting. This was a significant topic for me to learn about because I am an argumentative person by nature, but I am not very adept at explaining my reasons for disagreeing.…
