What makes a great teacher? What makes a great teacher? This question has been asked for years, a great teacher is one that has their own personal love of learning. He or she has to be a great leader in my opinion to be a great teacher. The teacher along with the students have to have a respect for one another. To be a great teacher you must show enthusiasm and caring towards what your teaching and your students. A great teacher must be able to create a sense of community in the classroom. It made her class extremely hard to pass because everything was graded very harshly, everyone barely passed the class. But when you have teachers like Anne Sullivan (taught Hellen Keller to read) who love what they do, you’ll find that more students are understanding what is being taught, more are passing and still retaining that knowledge. Teaching Assistant Application Design is powerful, creative and often surprising. As a teaching assistant, I would like to have an interactive classroom, whether that interaction is between lecturer and the students, or between the students themselves. I believe that lecturing should not be a one-way communication system. After being at Mandan High School for just over a year now, I have had some different interactions with the teachers. However, teachers that stuck out the most were definitely the baseball coaches because I started playing that when I moved here. Mr. Jungling was one of my favorite baseball coaches and teacher. In my opinion, what makes a good teacher is someone who pushes students to their best abilities while at the same time providing a unique way to learn and if necessary, adjusting to the students’ needs if they are struggling. Putting their students first and giving them a sense of equality.…
