Welding is when metal parts are joined. They are joined by heat. All welders must wear a helmet for safety. Welding is used in shipbuilding and automobile manufacturing. Welding also is used to join steel beams in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures. Welders can go from car racing to manufacturing.
