Thanks for sharing your experience, Sierra. You mentioned about a good example of humility. By choosing you, one of the team members to deal with the issues of the peers, your coach has acknowledged that the others may have better skills and ideas than her in solving issues (Dierendonck, 2011). A servant leader with humility would set aside their ego and is ready to share the authority. These characteristics make the servant leader accept others surpass him/her (DelHousaye & Brewer, 2004). I think, your coach has demonstrated these characteristics as a servant leader.
