Angeline: A Fictional Narrative

Improved Essays
(In walk a couple, Riley and Angeline, on a cold autumn day. Riley is a handsome twenty two year old, dressed in a hoodie. Angeline is a couple years younger, wearing fall clothes, her curly hair draped over her shoulder. The scene is set at a park in Queens, a wooden bench just off the sidewalk with a tree to the side. They both take a seat on the wooden park bench.)
RILEY
It’s a really nice day to be at the park, isn 't it? (He nervously fidgets with his sweatshirt)
ANGELINE
Yeah, it’s perfect. I’m glad you asked me to come.
RILEY
Yeah… (Shifts uncomfortably on the park bench)
ANGELINE
What’s wrong? You’re more quiet today than you usually are.
RILEY
I’m fine, really. I just don’t have anything to say. It’s kind of nice to sit here and

We’ve had so many good memories together and I can’t just leave that behind. I really care about you, Angeline.
ANGELINE
Now you have to leave me behind. I can’t be with you anymore. You 're clearly not happy being with me and it’ll break my heart to stay with you. (tears falling)
RILEY
What about your knight in shining armor?
ANGELINE
You’re not him. You could have never truly been him.
RILEY
I’m so sorry, Angeline. You have to understand.. with your late job, you were never home. You never expressed a wish to go further with this relationship. I felt stuck, but maybe we can work this out.
ANGELINE
You honestly think we can work this out after everything that you’ve just told me? You’re living two lives, and you obviously didn’t love me enough to wait until I was ready to move forward with our relationship. You wanted everything right now, and that’s why we’re in this situation. Love is patient, unlike you.
RILEY
Please just take a moment to think about this. Think about all of the memories that we’ve had. Don’t you remember being happy for the last two years?
ANGELINE
Riley! That was all a lie! You were sneaking around with her behind my back because I wasn’t good enough for you… (hurt)

I was stupid, and I should have waited. I know that now.
ANGELINE
You should have thought about that before you slept with her. (Riley tries to reach out for her, but Angeline pushes him away)
RILEY
What about us? What about everything we have?
ANGELINE
I’m sorry. Goodbye Riley.
(As Angeline walks off-stage, she passes by the treehouse, tears rolling down her face. All of the sudden, a hooded figure appears out of nowhere and pulls a gun on her. Riley sees everything.)
RILEY
(loudly) Angeline!
ANGELINE
(pulls off her purse and offers it to the gunman) Here! Take it! Take my purse, wallet, money, just don 't hurt me!
GUNMAN
I don’t want that! I know who you are! You’re that millionaire’s daughter. Ya think I want your handbag? No, you’re coming with me.
RILEY
NO! I won’t let you hurt her! (steps in between Angeline and the gunman)
ANGELINE
Riley! What are you doing? It’s not safe!
RILEY
None of that matters. He’s threatening you, and I won’t stand for this.
GUNMAN
(points the gun now at Riley) Listen here, I ain’t trying to hurt ya, but I will shoot you if you don’t step outta the

This book takes for granted that all human beings are inherently snooping idiots, or want to read the adventures concerning these snooping imbeciles. The retain one large aspect of the storyline that continued the theme of boredom.…

“Fucking Die!” Abellona screamed as she pounced back on top of me, pinning me to the forest floor. Riley perched herself on the edge of the cabin bed, absentmindedly following routine and pulling on her combat boots, thick and heavy, ready for fighting. Moonlight was seeping through the gaps in the blacked out windows; there was a gentle spring breeze making its way through the log cabin walls. She was small for her age of 14 but she had strength and speed on her side. Riley could hear the other campers singing around the campfire and the subtle smells of burnt sugar from the marshmallows being roasted outside.…
