Analysis: Is Success A Goal Or A Wish?

Is Success A Goal or a Wish? I came across a quote, recently, and it stated, “A goal without a plan is a wish.”

As we approach the close of 2015, it was a reminder to ask myself questions about the goals I set back in 2014. Did I take steps towards those goals in 2015? Did the goals really have a plan to support them? Did I get the results I was looking for? If not, they were likely a wish and not a goal. In business or even personally, the difference between a wish and a goal is that the wish is based on hope but a goal is a commitment to achieve.

The senior care industry is growing steadily as more baby boomers enter their golden years. And since it is a growing industry, people are taking steps to get launch their businesses causing competition to grow day-by-day. You need to have a solid business strategy so you can always remain ahead.

Strategic planning is very important for any senior care agency. Strategic planning determines where an organization is going over the next year or more, how it’s going to get there and how it will know if it got there at all.

Where to Start

Creating a successful future plan can be a time-consuming process. Goals must be set clearly so that you know what and when your agency want to achieve. Each goal must be specific and realistic. You’ll have to determine how and who is going to perform each task in your

Planning

You can’t take your senior care agency to new heights without a plan. Strategic planning will not only help to improve your business, but it will also help protect it too. A plan protects your operations and your revenue. The strategy should target the areas you need to focus on to protect your agency’s future. For example, do you need to target better patient assessments or increased referrals? Make a plan for how you would achieve the goals. Once you establish the plan, you need to share it with your entire staff. Let them know why you’re implementing the plan and your overall goals for your agency.

Goals

Goals are very important make your agency grow consistently over time. Create goals for each department and position and provide clear roadmap to your department to achieve those goals. Management should monitor progress continuously so goals can be achieved on time. When one doesn’t appear to be obtainable, reassess to find out what processes can be adjusted so you can achieve
