First, why doesn’t Cersei love Tyrion as much as Jaime does? Jaime doesn’t blame Tyrion for his mother’s death like their father does, so why can’t Cersei see eye to eye with Jaime? I have two possible theories. One, Cersei is following her father's views more so than Jaime, or that Cersei also despises Tyrion for being a dwarf. Both make sense to me because Cersei is a character that holds grudges, is easily influenced by superiors, and despises any animal or human that isn’t normal in her view. My other question is why does Jon have a desire to be on The Wall. The Wall is notorious for its hard lifestyle and strict rules. Before you can join, you must take vows that pledge your life to The Wall and state that you must not have a wife, children, or outside contact. Deserters of The Wall are also executed. My explanation for why he might want to be there is that he feels he doesn’t belong anywhere else because of his status as a bastard. He feels that working with his father in a royal position would bring shame to his father and family. Also, I think he is heavily influenced by and extols his uncle, Benjen Stark, who is one of the adroit commanders on The Wall. It’s clear that Jon is eager to join his uncle: “Take me with you when you go back to The Wall, Father will give me leave to go if you ask him, I know he will.” (Jon 53).
