A Futuristic Solution to Education, Bought Out by Facebook. The current educational system’s most overwhelming and depressing problem is the fact that any attempt to solve one of the many problems is inevitably twisted by our elected officials either out of their stupidity or for their financial benefit. These stupid or corrupt changes take many shapes, such as the sale of land held by the school being added into a proposal for funding. As is always the case, this amendment to the proposal happens as soon as it is out of the hands of the public, and before the public can vote on it, which is, to say, as soon as our politicians get their grubby little hands on the proposal. With virtual reality environments, a student could be given a sample of what a career would involve, allowing the student to make a more informed decision whether to devote more time to the fields of study toward that pursuit. If the student is completely clueless about what he/she wants to do for a career, then the data from previous tests could be combined with a new test, the Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test. If the student does not like the teacher that the program thought would be the best choice, then the student is free to choose from a large list of teachers, with descriptions of the teacher and how he teaches. If a student does not feel that the math class he/she is taking is challenging enough for him/her, he/she can choose to take a higher level math class with specially designed tutoring to help the student catch up. If a student has an interest in a certain career, then the student can easily explore that possibility and can add classes specifically for that career. If a student wishes to learn another language, the class will be available. Any class will be in a student’s reach, and he/she has the tools and freedom to make the
