The Warming Experience In The Hot Days Of The Sun

Improved Essays
A familiar feeling... His warming presence stayed with me through the season of spring and into the blistering hot days of summer. My footsteps treaded after one another like youthful deer on the chase as I ran to the faithful place on the outskirts. Wherever I was, he never failed to stand right beside me, holding me every moment of the way. My heart burned with a fire that was hotter than the fury of the Sun. The Sun flashed the image of his face at my every turn, leaving a feverish burn of passion in the core of my body. The trees were in full blossom with swirls of green waving across the crystal blue sky as the wind gently blew against the back of my neck. They danced like wild lovers unafraid of the glances of strangers, and I moved …show more content…
My toes wrapped themselves in blades of emerald grass. His presence never abandoned me! I danced with my love pouring out from my heart, showering the earth all around me. I finally grew tired when the sun started setting in the west, so I laid on the ground with my arms. The sky was drenched in assorted colors. The rays of the sun reached out and enveloped me in its warmth, bringing every particle inside of me to a state of euphoria. I looked to the sun as its remaining parts peaked above the corner of the distant hills, my fingers intertwining with shoots of grass on ground. His hair. My gold bangle glowed with radiance like the sun, reflecting rays of its own onto the greenness of the grass that surrounded me. The memories between him and I were casted permanently in this object that wrapped itself so tightly around my wrist, just as how the love I had for him remains showered there in this place where greenness …show more content…
Fear drifted through me. I was scared to set my heart free, but the trees waved me, urging me to do so. I slowly took off the gold bangle on my wrist. There was a painful pinch around my hands as it dug into my flesh. I carefully buried it in the ground, and as I did, memories of him flashed before me. The good, the bad, the ugly, but most importantly, the beautiful ones. I looked up to the sky and saw the clouds drifting by as they did the very first day I arrived here. They moved with jubilance and laughter. How did not notice this from before? I touched the spot of the earth where I have planted my love, and watered it with a single drop of my tear, but no more than that. I turned and began to walk, one step in front of another. I walked on with my heart open and my eyes glistening like his, my shoulders no longer slumped forward. The fallen leaves crunched under my footsteps, and they always will, but I knew they will revive the next coming spring with the love I left nurturing under the

I was over ecstatic when Fernando, (also known as Fernie) my best guy friend asked me to go on a walking adventure with him in our hometown of Kelseyville, California. We started off the day by walking in the forest alongside of Kelsey Creek. This forest has a really big meaning to Fernie and I, because we both love nature in every aspect and these walking adventures are not uncommon to us. Starting on the path we both got lost in our own thoughts, I got distracted by looking above me at the the canopy the tree branches created. My eyes followed the patterns the sunlight was creating as it broke through the leaves and cascaded onto the uneven forest floor.…

February 2nd, 2008 will always be an emotional, vivid memory to me. It was a Saturday, and it was lightly snowing outside. My Saturdays usually consisted of sleeping in, watching a couple of my favorite TV shows, annoying my parents, and the occasional hanging out with friends. This Saturday, however, didn’t include any of my usual weekend routines. Instead, I was watching the funeral procession of my beloved prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley.…

It seemed to stretch up to the sky, letting the light come through in shafts through a canopy of green leaves, and long skinny branches joined together to make a green umbrella. There are all shades of green and browns, with the sun teasing in and out of the branches, and leaves creating yet more beautiful hues. I remember the way carpet of soft green grass felt under my bare feet, the sounds of cracking twigs. Once in a while, if I listened carefully a rustle of little creatures scurrying back and forth. From time to time I would catch a glimpse of a little brown or gray bushy tail.…
