Towards the end of the play A Doll House, the protagonist Nora departs away from her husband Torvald’s home since she figured out that he was using her for his own benefit. Her decision of suicide first was because to protect Torvald from social shame and obstacles, but ultimately carries on the act of leaving her home in order to not influence her children negatively. However, her final conclusion is considered unjustified, considering that she could have learned a lot more when Torvald offered her his advice.

Although she has the disappointment in her for being married to a man who only uses her for sexual benefits, she bore him 3 kids. Her example of a bad parental model can be seen in Act 3 when she is about to vanish from home and tells Torvald the truth that she has ‘“[...] been living [...] with a stranger, and that [she had] even conceived 3 children [...she] can’t stand the thought of it[. She] could tear [herself] to bits’” (Ibsen 941). This illustrates how Nora is very good at breaking social rules set up for her gender and deceiving her kids. In the Victorian Era, women were subject to listen to their husband and fully provide her family and household. However, Nora thinks that it was wrong of her to raise 3 children of her own with a stranger she married for 8 years. According to the Christian Bible, God gave a command to everyone, especially Nora in particular, that “[...]if anyone doesn’t provide for [her] relatives, and especially for members of [her] household, [she] has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. Nora broke that rule, and since she dumps her husband and her job as a housewife, she will run into social conflicts in the future if she stays strong in her personal beliefs. Not only was Nora’s decision a wrong act, but she also exhibits the characteristics of a terrible
