Kristine Linde Kristine Linde hasn’t been sheltered from the world, unlike Nora who has been sheltered assumedly all her life. Kristine has been through many hardships and toils, which allows her to see the reality for what it is. I n Kristine’s younger days, she had to sacrifice love for the sake of her family. Her mother was ill, and she needed to take care of her mother and brothers. So instead of marrying the man she loved, Krogstad, she married a businessman in order to take care of her family. Kristine is also a working women, due to her husband’s death she has had to work hard, and struggle to make ends meet. Allowing her to see the reality of the world since she has been in it, she has gone through things, and because she was never sheltered. On the other hand, Nora has been sheltered by her father and Torvald. Due to Nora being sheltered, her reality is deluded and she is unable to see the world realistically. Even though Nora has worked a few odd jobs to pay off the debt her life has been relatively easy. Even when taking out a debt, instead of facing reality by telling Torvald, she hides behind a lie. When telling Kristine about what she did, we see Nora’s deluded reality when she explains about how she wishes the debt would be paid off and she says, “Then I used to sit here and imagine that a rich old gentleman had fallen in love with me--… Be …show more content…
