In Henrik Ibsen’s play A Doll’s House, students can understand that the main character, Nora, does not make the right decisions. In act 1 the audience is told that Nora forged a signature to help her husband from an illness. “ ‘No…It was I who wrote Papa’s name’.” (Ibsen 23). Nora is telling Mr. Krogstad, who works for Nora’s husband, about the forgery she committed.
