Dogs can be far inferior to humans in intelligence, but humans could learn a thing or two from man’s best friend. A Dog’s Purpose is a story about dog trying to find its purpose throughout the course of its several lives. He takes on several names and has different families and owners, the most important being his life as bailey, with his owner Ethan. Bailey learns an important lesson in each of his lives, and applies these lessons to fulfill his purpose. In A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron, Bailey learns that his purpose in life was to save people. In Bailey’s second life, Bailey learns how to rescue people from water. He meets Ethan, who loves and cares for him. In the summers, they visit Ethan’s grandparent’s farm, where Ethan goes fishing.
