In the reading, Difficult Conversations, the authors discussed how sometimes it is difficult to have a conversation that could potentially affect your identity or what others think of you (Stone, Patton, & Heen, 2010). Everyone struggles with their identity and the desire to perfect it to exactly how they want it or how they want others to see it. For me, I have played softball my whole life, from tee ball to high school ball it was always a hobby of mine. I played travel softball too and spent most of my weekends traveling. It was fun and it was a great experience, but on the other hand it was also very time consuming. After my freshman year of high school, I seemed to lose my interest in playing softball.
