A Descriptive Experience Of The First Plane Trip

Improved Essays
First Plane Trip The first time I went on an airplane, was when I was twelve. My family was traveling to California for the first time, to visit the family on my father’s side. I remember being nervous, but, extremely excited at the same time. It was a long trip, about six hours give or take, and my family was not prepared one bit. Yet with all the chaotic things that happened, it was still a memorable and fun experience. Of course for the first time on a plane, you’re going to think the worst. You can’t help but imagine all the things that could possibly go wrong. Things like getting lost in the airport, loosing your luggage, even the plane crashing; and don 't forgot all the chaos of finding the gate, being on time, and looking for seats …show more content…
I can remember my sister catching the whole plane’s attention. She decided to take a nap, while chewing gum. She forgot to spit it out before hand, and woke up with it stuck in her hair. She had a blue clump that just got tangled on the back of her head. I remember it being the gum Winter Fresh, my sister 's favorite. You could just smell the mint on her. She was angry and embarrassed at the same time, and didn 't know what to do. All the flight attendants were running around, trying to figure out how to remove it and help her. One of the flight attendants suggested just cutting it out, but that wasn 't an option. Another said he heard peanut butter helps to get gum out of hair. My sister’s reaction was priceless. She definitely thought it was a ridiculous idea, and there was not even the slightest chance she was going to do that either. I remember laughing, at the thought of her actually going doing it. She ended up getting it out with water, but she spent the rest of the flight doing …show more content…
We had a good chunk of time before our next flight, so we decided to go to the souvenir shop. My sister and I wanted to buy something for everyone. We were just so excited that we had gone to a different state, and actually got the chance to buy souvenirs. We just about looked at everything in the shop. Being a kid back then we didn 't have a phone. So of course, we couldn 't keep track of the time. Resulting in us having spent half an hour walking around exploring. I remember my mom running up to us panicking, saying, “We’re ganna miss the plane ride home, come on!” We all began freaking out, not knowing what to do. All of us just began running through the airport, dodging all the people and their luggage as fast as we could to make it back in time. Everyone sprinting, trying not to trip or drop our bags. Meanwhile, our dad was trying to stall the plane from leaving without us. We felt ridiculous! We just couldn 't help but laugh at ourselves. Being a parent, of course that was stressful, but for a kid, it was more fun than anything. The trip was definitely not what I was expecting, but I had an amazing time. I ended up getting a ton of hilarious and memorable moments that I’ll remember

The most eventful thing I have done this summer was going to Turkey Run. It’s two hours away from Wheatfield, and it’s in Marshall. The drive was pretty long on the way there, my mom had to run an errand or two and then we went to McDonalds for lunch. Then we just continued our drive there. We entered a different time zone on the way there, it was an hour ahead than the time here in Jasper County.…

It was the summer of 2007, and my parents thought that it would be a brilliant idea to go on a family road trip to some unknown location. This was the summer before I started high school and I wasn’t in the family bonding mood for a day let alone two weeks. With me being an only child, grandchild, and great grandchild, I was the only kid with five adults in a minivan. Why my parents thought that this was a good idea is still beyond my imagination.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…
