Before the session, the client signed the Informed Consent and I received her authorization to record the session.
Counselor: Hi A.Y., how are you? (door opener)
A.Y.: I’m doing good, well.
Counselor: um-hmm, ok. (encourager)
A.Y.: A little upset about my social life, but aside from that, I’m pretty good right now. I’ve been having an issue with one of my dear friends, see, she’s like a best friend to me, or was. We’ve basically been friends, I’ve been friends with this girl for about almost 10 years. We had a very close bond. We had a lot in common, so we really shared a lot of memories together, but, in the recent years, about two years or so, it’s been kind of, the friendship has deteriorated a little bit, and it’s kind of just gone down, and we’ve been very distant, just like separated. You know in a way, we’ve kind of just gone on our own paths and we’ve just become two different people, in a way, and it’s kind of upsetting because it’s, you know, her wedding. She’s, you know, we’ve always talked about each other’s weddings and becoming each other’s maid of honors. You know, she’s engaged, and she’s going to be wedded, you know, very soon.
