How would you feel if your father dies and leaves you to be the new head of the house? That’s what Rob felt when his father died, and he was left burdened with all of his father’s responsibilities on his shoulders. Robert Peck is a young thirteen year old boy that lives in a farm in Vermont with his family. Life at the farm for Rob is very hard because his family is poor, and he often helps his father do chores in the farm. When his father dies, he is found having to man up and take responsibility of all his father’s chores all by himself. When he faces difficult circumstances, Rob finds out many lessons about life like the true meaning of wealth.
