In “A Crush” Ernie couldn’t decide if he should confess his love or keep it a secret. “A Crush” was made by Cynthia Rylant and it should be nominated for the ALA award. Ernie liked someone and was afraid to confess. He sends her roses every day and she doesn’t know who it is. “A Crush” should be nominated for the ALA award. “A Crush” has a great conflict that attracts readers to the story and the theme is interesting. Without the theme of this story the story wouldn’t make sense.
