Following the three basic principles for the ethical procedures. Respect for the persons meaning if the individual has an intellectual disability, in this study, the research will have to respect them and their decision. Beneficence, the individuals should not be worse off than they were before. The participants should leave as they entered. The research will be approved by the IRB and the human subjects review team to protect the participants along with receiving approval from the government. There will be minimal risk involved on completion of the survey. There will be a therapist and or resources ready after the completion of the survey. The researcher will be responsible for the outcomes of physical harm. Researcher will give contact information to the individual participant. While conducting the study, the researcher will receive and keep all voluntary information on hand. Letting the participant know he or she is able to quit at any time regardless of the situation. The researcher will inform the participant there will not be any unnecessary pain and suffering. If there is any pain or suffering the researcher will take responsibility. The individuals will be confidential at all times. The results will be kept in a computer coded by numbers and will be password protected. The research will use a ten question true or false survey to measure the Aboriginals intellectual level. True or False questions will allow the research to determine if the individual has an IQ below 70. The researcher will read the test to the individual. True/False questions are in the appendix B. Researcher will evaluate the test scores to determine if the individual has an intellectual disability.
