The primary of purpose of a compelling statement is that which is used to get across what the writer is trying to get across. It also is used to influence the reader to start to if not completely start coming over to the stated point of view. Because of this, a compelling statement is a massive factor in the persuasiveness of the argument and can either help or hinder a argument. I plan of mastering the use of a compelling statement through using the emotions and biases of my readers to help further my coercion and hinder that of the opposite viewpoint. To help me reach a level in which my compelling statement is a good factor in the overall effectiveness of my argument, I will need to learn how to translate the tone used in speech into the
