Does the movie named Troy and the book called the ‘Classical Mythology’ has a comparison and contrast of the setting of the story that involve in the war between the Trojan and the Greek? It does have a good difference and similarity between the setting of the story in the movie and the book like for starters the similarity for the setting of the story about agreeing to one day truce. The one day truce is an agreement between the Trojan and Greek after the first battle in the war between them to allow both sides to have permission to take the dead solider that died to be buried. For instance the quotes from the Iliad in the poem named the Homer’s epic that is written in the book named ‘Classical Mythology Images and Insights’ by the author called Stephen L. Harris and Gloria Platzner. The film named Troy that was starring with Brad Pitt contains a scene that was different from the setting of the story, for example the film show, “The dead corpse is being burned to ashes instead of being buried.” (Troy, 2004) It completely contrasts the book and the reason is that the book mentioned about the dead Greek soldier being buried instead in the film show that the Greek soldier is being burn to ashes. This shows that there is a contrast between the book and film that do not follow the same setting of the story that involve in the war between the Trojan and the Greek. The movie also introduces Achilles that going to participate in the war between the Troy and the Greek. In the movie introduce Achilles’ mother convincing Achilles to participate in the war between the Greek and Trojan. The reason that Achilles is going to participate in the war between the Greek and Trojan War is in order to be remembers and become part of Greek history. The Troy movie and the ‘Classical Mythology’ book contain a Homer epic poem about the Iliad that contain some difference and similarity for the setting of the following story about the Greek and Trojan War. The Greek and Trojan War have a detail about the culture and religion for burying the dead soldier or burning the dead soldier into ashes in order to prevent anyone from mistreating the dead. Even though the setting of the following of the story that involve in the war between the Greek and Trojan War is different for both the movie called Troy and ‘Classical Mythology’ book. Hopefully the setting of the story in both Troy Movie and ‘Classical Mythology’ book will have the same setting in the following story about the Greek and Trojan
