A Comparison Of Inman And Ada Kiss

Decent Essays
For me personally, sometimes reading a book often leaves me with unanswered question. I wasn't sure if Ada and Inman was really in love. However, after watching the film version, and seeing Inman and Ada kiss, as if they're in love, answered my question. The visual effect, along with seeing and actual face was something I took away form this very assignment.

Question 21. What were your feelings after reading the first few pages of the book? What details from the book made you feel that way? When I read the first few chapters of Cress by Marissa Meyer, I was filled with excitement to keep reading; the first chapters were not only continuing the stories of Cinder and Scarlet, but also adding Cress. Since the book splits between two stories, you have twice the anxiousness.…

The book also began easier to understand, you knew immediately who some of the characters are and like. In the movie, it was hard to know who each person was till further into the movie . The beginning off the movie began were Ponyboy was meeting Cherry Valance a Soc, but in the book Ponyboy didn’t meet Cherry till the second chapter. The story’s both passed both in different ways.…

The theme that S.C. Hitin was saying in the book was Well it would stay gold and the meaning is that stay smart and never give up. Well some interesting fact about the book is that Pony was just writing a paper about his life just like in the movie at the start. I did not like the ending because it was all just a paper about his life. I also did not like how they never show who was who in the story. While the book and movie have many similarities and differences, the Book was more effective in telling the story.…

Why I preferred the book well to start with it gives lots of details instead of the movie. It does actually mean a lot if I like a book because I tend to be very picky about what I read. the book plot, story, theme, everything was so well done and thought out that once you start reading it, it is hard to put it down and stop reading. Reason why it is so hard to stop reading it well every chapter pretty much end with a cliffhanger. Great books like this one are very hard to come by.…

“BANG, BANG!!!!” Colonel Macnab just got killed in the movie Kidnapped yet, if we go back into the original book, the whole scene isn't even there! The movie and the book are very much different in the sense that the movie cut out and added scenes that were not in the book. Like in this scene, where in the book there is a completely different ending, they never even meet Colonel Macnab, Alan and Davie just go in their separate ways!…

A few important character connections and details were in the book that were left out in the movie. In the book, for example, Kim and Mia’s relationship wasn’t as detailed in the movie. It didn’t show their fight like it did in the book and all of their childhood between the two seemed to be missing from the movie. Mia and Kim had some important things that occurred in their childhood which I thought was important and should have been included in the movie. Her grandparents also weren’t in the movie as much as they were in the book.…

Many changes came about in 19th century America: changes which clearly affect Inman and Ada in Cold Mountain. Two significant changes can be seen in the roles of women in society, and a transition away from the classical “Southern way of life”. With men off at war, the roles of women changed drastically during this time. They were no longer able to simply be the traditional housewife: they were forced to take on new responsibilities in order to simply sustain themselves. This time was also a transition away from the traditional “Southern way of life”: the era of plantations, slavery, and devout evangelism was beginning to fade.…

For me the book is better. The book is better because the book has better detail and uses foreshadowing and imagery. The movie just does not add that extra detail that the book gave you. When you read the book you want to guess what happens but in the movie you can not think what will happen it will just happened already.…

The Holocaust, was without a doubt one of the most tragic events in mankind 's history. Many books and movies have been able to tell the stories that took place during the holocaust but some writers like Elie Wiesel and Roberto Beninin are able to transcend into the the time and make us feel real emotions. These pieces of work descended us into a larger understanding of what the term “The Holocaust” really means. Elizer Wiesel’s memoir ‘Night’ revealed the what times were like before the tragedy and then. The memoir, describes in grave detail about Eliezer and his father 's struggle between sanity and insanity, and whether to give up or to keep going.…
