One common entity that connects Carney and Adair is the convict named Dolan. Dolan was also one of the reasons why Adair decided to pay visit to Carney; he wanted to make sure whether the rumours about Dolan being in fact his foster brother Fergus Connellan, were true. Fergus in fact did become a bushranger and was a leader of a gang which consisted of Irish revolutionarists. Fergus and Adair were from the very beginning two very opposed characters since Fergus was the wild oneand “he wasn´t like the human child. /…/ Only Adair felt free to give the child his unguarded affection.” And once he grew, he “was a kind of composite creature, half boy, half horse.” He coud in a way be treated as a Robin Hood character since his goal in life was to

Can We Avoid Mistakes? In Carol Tavris and Elliot Aronson’s book Mistakes Were Made (but not by me) they claim that we can defeat the demon of self-justification by understanding how it works. “When politicians’ backs are against the wall, they will reluctantly acknowledge error but not their responsibility for it” (Tavris/Aronson 4). How many of us use self-justification in relationships, jobs and purchases we make?…

Harris, Coates and Gee are somewhat very similar because they all states how things in the world are different and how the differences in the world ‘shape” what we all see in our eyes. Even though Harris goes more into the different techniques of “tackling down” information, he is basically saying that those techniques are there for us to understand the structural format of writing and being a writer is mainly about. It adds to coates point of, to become a writer there are steps, ways and even struggles that you have to pass through and even that it takes sometime to gather everything in your control to better and improve yourself and your skills in writing. In the other hand, Gee is more focus on how people’s actions and behavior takes part…

Dear reader, today I wish to share an incredibly eclectic, spiralling, black tale… a tail that belongs to Mr. Dooland “Dooley the Cat” Ashwood. There is more to his wacky unusual name than meets his jewelled emerald eyes. It is an Irish name, composed of the Gaelic dubh “black” and laoch “champion”, meaning Dooley loosely translates into “Black Champion”. Honestly, the name doesn’t quite fit him perfectly. “Dubh” describes his permanent obsidian coloured fur tuxedo and perhaps his dark sense of humour, like when he decides to scratch and destroy door frames in the house to get my attention.…

Robert being initially held back was beneficial for his development. In addition to receiving the support needed from his parents and school staff, the additional time allowed for them to pinpoint the root of his behavioral problems (lack attention and boredom). On the other hand, if Robert had not been held back, he might have been wrongly diagnosed as immature. According to Davis, Rimm, and Siegle (2011), children who are younger and smaller are often falsely assumed to be immature. Robert would have been the youngest in his class and could have potentially been labeled as immature, resulting in his school not realizing his behavior problems stemmed from his lack of attention and boredom.…
