Ford and Chevrolet start all the way back from the year 1911. On November 3 of 1911 Chevrolet came out with their first car classic six this is the day that Chevrolet and Ford became feuds. As Chevrolet was still under Ford they made a new car to top the model T now Ford had a lot of competition. "In 1927 Ford shut down for 6 months to tool up for the new Model A" (axleaddict). Ford needed to step up their game to get back in place of there top spot on the leaderboard. In 1925 Chevrolet had over ran the American muscle brand for 61 years in income. In the 1900s the biggest thing about cars was how fast they can go. Ford came out with a new car that had double the horsepower then model T called model A, but what Ford didn't expected was their rivals Chevrolet who also came out with a car that had 50 horsepower called the sedan.
As both the companies trying to get the number one spot from each other the Great Depression had started. Ford at this point was up front and was happy of how everything was going. Then Great Depression started and brought its company down. "Ford lost money and saw its market share shrink in the 1930s"(wheels).
