Both civilizations were both very reigious. They both believed in more than one religion. The Egyptians had believed that Kings and Queens were God and Godness. That is the whole reason why they had build a pyramid to honor the God and Godness. On the other hand, the Mayans had a complex religion. Once again the pyramids was used for religious reasoning. THey often included sacrafices. The way a honoring the God often was gruesome. THey often had a person covered in Gold and Jewels. Than they would drop them in a lake, causing them to die because of the weight on the jewels. The Mayans believed that this will balance the earth.
