A Christian Servant Analysis

One of the uttermost predominant men I've ever known informed me that God gives the biggest challenges to his strongest soldiers; Today I found out I live as one. While writing this, God gave me a colossal of a challenge; Charles Hill, a minister, leader, but, ultimately, my great grandfather, was one of greatest Christian Servant Scholars to ever live, and while writing this he passed away. Immediately I wanted to quit, I didn't feel like writing an essay, and if I'm being honest it was the last thought on my mind. Luckily, I realized that the person to write about would be the one whom I had just lost. Being and amazing Christian Servant came easily to Charles. Charles Hill was great at leading others to God through encouragement, In Romans 12:8 it states "If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly." Charles lived by this message, he constantly encouraged everyone in following God and personally impacted my life by doing so. While in the hospital, he found out that I had recently started working at a church. Typically, a man who had just been taken off of ventilator's wouldn't be able to speak. So, as weak as he was, he grabbed me into a hug and started to weep with joy. The feeling of how proud my great grandfather was, and how encouraging that hug was has forever impacted my life. The sweet nature of his embrace not only made me want to become a better Christian but is also the reason I kept writing this paper. If his encouragement can allow me to keep fighting during the rough times, one can only imagine what encouragement can do for others. Therefore, I feel encouragement is one of the best characteristics of a Christian
