A child’s parenting skills has major influence on most aspect of Child development. Parenting skills and behaviors can have a positive or negative impact on children’s school achievement, cognitive development, social skills and behavior. The way a parent raises a child is beneficial for later success in school and the way they interact with others around them. Starting from early childhood to late adolescent can have a major impact on how a child may be in the worlds outside of there own. It can be a bit challenging to try and teach them everything as they get older and this why it is very important to have parenting skills that are beneficial to the child for the future. A parent takes on a huge role on child social skills; they have the ability to teach their child proper social skills and good manners that acquire proper social skills. There are certain relations that can affect child skills can be family risks, parent relating stresses and the interactions that a child may have with a parent (Ayoub, 2011). As a parent you are suppose to set a good example of good parenting it a construct that represent a combination of parent and child together. Sometimes stress can come into play when a parent is raising there child if they have too much stress that can take a toll on there child due to them constantly viewing there parents stress constantly. When I observed Jayden at his home who is 6 years old, I came across his social skills with his own mother, he was very rude to his mother he would answer back when she would tell him to do something, he would also nag and two a little tantrum when his mom would ask him to get something for her. I asked the mother a couple questions on why he’s like that and she said she really didn’t know. As I observed for a little longer I noticed that the mom was talking to someone on the phone and she was arguing but she was doing it on the low but Jayden tend to notice this act and he would run upstairs because he didn’t want to hear it.
