What is more interesting than reading about a person’s true life story with the events that they went through. The book A Child Called “It” is a biography written by Dave Pelzer about his life. It takes place in Daly City, California in 1973 at Pelzer’s home and school mostly. The main characters of the story are Dave, his mother Catherine, his father Stephen, his brothers, Mr. Hansen, Mr. Ziegler, the nurse, Miss Moss, and Officer Smith. Dave is the main character and author of the story. He was the second child and lived a good normal life, but then he turned four. His mother began to beat him and other horrifying crimes. The only reason he survived was because of his dedication to not let his mother win. Catherine is an important character
