A Case Study Of Josalie's Monologue

Decent Essays
The two girls had one thing in common, they both would run to the mailbox any time a letter from another country arrived. Josalie had waited for months for another response, and was excited to see the familiar stamp on Emilia’s letter. She eagerly opened the note and read faster than she ever did in school. As she read her words, she began to feel ashamed for not considering Emilia’s current situation in her country. Embarrassed by her thoughtlessness, Josalie grabbed her stationary and one of her dad’s fancy pens. She began to write another letter as a sort of apology to Emilia, hoping that she would understand her own carelessness.
