Police officers killed at least 37% of unarmed african americans in 2015, more than any other nationality, despite african americans being only 13% of the United States population. Only nine of the 102 cases concerning with police brutality resulted in officers being charged with crime. Police Officers should go to jail for their crime for their actions such as brutal abuse, murder and/or racial profiling. Police brutality is a serious cause in the United States that most of the community is against,In November 15th,2011 a 54 year old women got struck in the face by a police officer at Liberty Park. This resulted in the NYPD illegally occupying Union Square and Liberty Park because of a protest where they later on hit the 54 year old women.

Law Enforcement has to use physical force on criminals because of excessive force that they use on unarmed criminals. Is really necessary to shoot an unarmed person more than ten times because they made a suspicious movement? I know police officers have their reasons, but sometimes you have to be in their shoes to understand what they are going through that might be a threat to their life or others around the scene. It’s very understandable that power is necessary sometimes to violent criminals when they get violent or put the police officers lives endanger. Recent data distributed by the Stolen Lives Project guess that the number of cases in the United States relating to police brutality has gotten to the 1000ths, but these numbers come with denial, if not most of these examples are never reported due to fear of punishment. The fact is there are many cases of police brutality and fraud. The lack of open effort is being made to help towards the citizens. Justice has to be served and the silence needs to be broken and open. Some officers need to be put in prison. The only way to clean up the community is to clean up all the cops doing wrong and not facing there injustice. Police brutality is a cruel injustice that can be banned. No one needs to be afraid or be apprehensive about being intimidated by an officer and about coming forward with material. Without a doubt we have the good cops and bad cops, about a portion of those cops go abusing their authority to innocent people. If it were not for spectators witnessing the abuse cops put on citizens many cases wouldn’t be intense as what they are today. Fresno Police Department had a recent video leaked on YouTube. It showed two officers on the job, abusing an elderly homeless man. The homeless man he did not show no threat to the police officers. There are no
