A Career In Video Production

All I have ever wanted to do with my life is work in television production. For me, growing up was a magical experience. As a child, I would use television as an escape away from my own life, and would live the stories of the characters that I watched on screen. Before I knew it, I began to develop a burning passion for visual storytelling. As I further developed a strong sense of who I was and what made me happy, I soon realized that the only career that would ever satisfy me was a career in video production.

Over the past few years at film school, I have worked every production job possible, ranging from production assistant to assistant director. As I have experimented with the various roles on a production, I have found myself being

I have assumed the role of producer, production manager, and assistant director on various commercials, web series, and short films, as well as working as a script supervisor for a local production house. All of these opportunities have helped me gain valuable insight and experience in the professional working world.

My end goal is to work as a production manager in episodic television. As I stand now, I believe that I have done everything I can do to get closer to my goal. I believe that the next step in my professional journey is to obtain a industry centered internship opportunity that offers me an chance to work for a highly regarded company, learn the ins and outs of production management, and prove myself worthy to work in the industry.

Television and its stories will always be special to me, and one day I hope to help make it special for someone else.
