A cosmetologists job is to characterize involving manicures, pedicures and any kind of nail treatment, and even the basics of applying makeup for customers. They should also be appreciative in the field of philosophy of beauty, the division of cosmetology which focuses on skin care and includes services like facials, extractions, wraps, but many states require an esthetician license to participate in this field of study. Most cosmetologists want to own their own business after working for someone for awhile because then they can have their own shop/business and will be able to close/open on whatever days they want, but you need to atleast go to college for two more years for business school after cosmetology school.
