My College Admissions Essay: A Career In Education

There are certain events had happened in my life that made me who I am today. Some of these past experiences were better than others, but overall they taught me valuable lessons that have made me grow and become a better person. I was born and raised in Calabar, Nigeria. I was fortunate to live in an environment that offer high quality of education and continuously thriving on education. I started my primary school at a very young age and continued my education until college, where I pursued a degree in electronic engineering. Upon the arrival, I decided to continue my education to help myself become assimilated and acquainted with the new America education system. I began my education at Houston Community College for two years, from 1997 to 1998. Within that time frame, I was hired by a cable company called Time Warner Cable. While working at the company, I never cease searching for a better life, because I couldn’t find true happiness in the job that the manager was given to me. In comparison, I found better self-satisfaction working in the Shipping and Freight Forwarding business, but I did not have enough knowledge to establish a whole new company as being in a different country. In order to make my dream happen again, I decided to put efforts into doing research on how to handle and operate the shipping industry in the U.S. At the end, I was able to identify what licenses I needed and the different department that was in charge of issuing the licenses. So I apply for the licenses, after meeting with all requirements, I was awarded the licenses and my business was started in the new world and these have turned me into a business and a better
