How my search began From the end of seventh grade I have strived to be a dentist. Lately I have been debating between two career paths, dentistry and anesthesiology. I am now nearing the end of my sophomore year so soon I need to decide what path is right for me. When Mr. Hostetter assigned us a paper where we could choose the topic, my brain immediately thought of dentistry. Hopefully writing this paper can give me some more information to help me decide on which career seems to fit me the best.
What I want to learn I would like to learn all the steps I need to go through to become a dentist. The classes I should be taking in high school and in college. I want to understand exactly what the entire process is and all the tests and exams I need to pass. Also what degrees I need to be a D.D.S.

Which means by the time I start to look for a job, the supply will be low. completing a bachelor's degree program is the first step to obtaining a dental degree. In most programs they require 90 credits to be completed by the time of application.
