I decided to pursue a career in counseling and hoping to work with active military, veterans and their family. However, now that I am on my 3rd term in the program, and nearing completion, I feel anxious and question myself if this is the right career I would like to do in the future. Once I moved into a new work environment and get comfortable, I have avoided any changes in my work area such as refusing to get promoted or moved into new department. I have applied for jobs and thought about declining if offered.
How can I continue to stay in this program and motivate myself to change my career field in the future? Similarities of this problem occurred years ago after separating from the military. I started working as a weapon specialist with
