When I think of the advanced practice role I think of it as an advanced level of nursing.
While working very close with the medical team, and devolping a trusting relationship. The close relationship between advanced practice nurses and the medical team, allows for support, and growth. Being an advanced practice nurse requires diagnosing and managing the treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. While focusing on health promotion and disease prevention, with an emphasis on wellness. This allows for advanced practice nurses to utilize in-depth nursing knowledge and skill in meeting the health needs of their patients, and their families. Advance practice nurses are able to extends the boundaries of nursing scope of practice, and contributes
