When asked, "What does it take to be a leader?" Many would emphasize traits such as intelligence, toughness, determination, and vision—the qualities traditionally associated with leadership. Usually personality is left out. That is something crucial to be a leader. If one does not like talking or working with others, then how can they assert and lead by example? I exemplified these qualities of being a leader while holding the position of being an ROP ambassador. As a 2nd year ROP ambassador, I have encouraged hundreds of middle school students to join the Regional Occupation Program (ROP) in the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Districts (CRY).
