A Psychiatric Technician, also known as a Mental Health Psychiatrist, is a medical doctor who usually observes a patients’ behavior and listens to their concerns (BLS). All psychiatrist records their meetings, whether it’s on tape or the doctor is just taking notes. The meetings mainly take place at a psychiatric medical facility or psychiatric office. A Psychiatrist studies the cognitive, emotional, and social process of a person in a comfortable setting and records the way the patient responds in said environment (APS). The programs last from 2 semesters to 2 years and when you finish the program with a passing grade, you’ll get an associate’s degree.
