A Career As A Preschool Teacher

Ever since I was younger I knew I wanted to work with children. At first I wanted to be a teacher then I came here and realized it would be too hard to get my teaching degree. While attending college, I had a part time job back home which was is at a daycare. Little over a year ago over winter break I got to be in the preschool II classroom and I loved it. Ever since those couple weeks I was in that classroom, I have wanted to be a preschool teacher.

What kind of job do I want in my profession? The kind of job I would like is a preschool teacher. A preschool teacher has a classroom with around 20 students the ages of three years old to five year olds. I will be a full-time teacher in a classroom. I will be caring and teaching children the ages of six weeks to five years old. The job specifications for being a daycare teacher are very broad and nonspecific. Such as, having previous experience, excellent knowledge of current education methods, creative, strong communication skills, certificate in first aid and CPR. There are about five different positions for being employed at a children 's daycare. For a director position you will need a bachelor 's degree in related field to education such as business or leadership. The second career choice is a teacher and they need a college degree with nine credits of early childhood related courses. For the positions on down the chart you would only need a high school diploma and some previous experience.

I expect to graduate from Blackburn College in May of 2016 with a bachelor 's degree in organizational leadership and with a minor in Human Resource Development. On May 10th I expect to enter full time status at Little Lambs Learning Center in Lincoln, Illinois. I plan to stay at this company for another two years.
