As a scheduler in my current job, I’d like to be able to apply those skills as a Staffing Clerk in a hospital. This will be a great carry over responsibility for me. I love preparing

I understand that when using EBP it is effective for the entire care team with a system of context, and measured in terms of a meaningful impact on performance and health outcomes. I like how your article mentions that, “nursing administration is shifting from focus n patient satisfaction and work environments, to a primary influence in developing the business framework and delivery models in healthcare”, and this is a very valid point. As a healthcare professional, continuing professional development (CPD) is essential to meeting significant clinical benchmarks such as those put in place by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). These standardise the quality of a nursing professional's technical and theoretical care and delineate the essential aspects of care given – emphasising the value of clinical portfolios and the vital role they play in the development of careers. Groves (2014) defines CPD as “a professional requirement for nurses that involves learning in practice” as training nurses to deliver exceptional care during practice can safeguard and improve the public’s health and wellbeing (Groves, 2014). The importance of high quality care is also emphasised by the NMBA, calling for knowledge and skills to be kept current, and for the “standards of professional code of conduct” to be upheld (Nursing and Midwifery Council [NMC] as cited in Groves, 2014).…

There was many thing that I learned from taking this class, but the three things that I found interesting and or could be useful to have up to date knowledge about are, poison control, seizure and tourniquets. If you took a first aid class prior to 2010, like I did then, there’s a reasonable chance you learned to induce vomiting when someone ingests a foreign, possibly toxic substance. It was so popular that people were told to keep ipecac around in the house just in case. It turns out this is a terrible idea.…
