As I stated in my introduction, I am currently a medical lab technician and was diagnosed with MS in 2014. I’m the kind of person who enjoys working behind the scenes; so working in a lab is good for me, for now. But the reality of it is that I may not always be physically capable of performing the duties that are required of a medical lab technician.
So I began considering a back-up plan. Because I do not want to be out of work on disability unless that is the absolute only option. I have friends that work in medical billing and coding for doctors offices and that is how I got interested in this career.
