Like many, I explored many potential career paths, most in healthcare. At first, I was interested in physician assistants, so I decided to take a certified nursing assistant class in order to get more experience with patient care. However, no matter how proficient I was in the classroom portion of the program, I was lacking in the clinical portion. Clinicals were at a nursing home and two students and I were giving a bed bath to one of the residents when they became incontinent. Experiencing incontinence sucks balls ,but I was able to stay calm, comfort the resident, and assist in cleaning them. In the end, our group asked the instructor for help.
