Once the individual is employed by the agency, the next crucial step is training. As fun as it would be to simply begin work the next day, it takes approximately twenty weeks to absorb the extended knowledge and criteria that an agent must know: “The FBI Academy is located in Quantico, Virginia, the trainees reside on campus and participate in various training activities, classroom hours, training in physical fitness, and practical application of defense tactics and firearms” (fbi.gov). Once being admitted into the agency, new agents are then prepared to begin their employment. The FBI’s employment strategy is different from any other occupation, they have the authority to send you to any area they need agents and the agent is to reside there
