Being a camp counselor for a pediatric cancer patient summer camp is the most personally rewarding, transformative and inspiring experience I have been a part of. We are a close-knit family, many of which I consider to be my personal heroes. Proximity to campers and their families keeps me optimistic, and camp memories continue to serve as poignant and powerful reminders for why I aspire to be a physician.
